Baby Lock Stabilizer Reference Guide

This cut-away interfacing is permanent. It does not wash out or tear out and is used to give support to to projects that need stability such as fabric bowls, hat bills, placemats, purses and other craft projects. It can be used as a dense heavy-weight embroidery stabilizer. It is easy to cut, mark and sew on. Recommended for low stitch count, low density designs.

Firm-Flex Double-Sided Fusible

This cut-away interfacing is permanent. It will not tear out or wash out and is fusible on both sides, making it fast and easy to use on projects that need stability such as fabric bowls, hat bills, purses, fabric boxes and other craft projects. It can be used as a heavy-weight embroidery stabilizer. It is easy to cut, mark and sew on. Recommended for low stitch count, low density designs.

Aqua Set Water-Activated

This heavy adhesive backed cutaway is permanent. It will not wash out or tear out. This stabilizer can be used with knits, fleece and other stretch fabrics. It is recommended for low to heavy stitch count designs.

Super Stable and Cut-Away Soft

These are extra heavy and heavy cut-away permanent stabilizers. Use this stabilizer for heavy duty projects, home decor items, fleece, knits, sweaters and caps. Recommended for high stitch count, high density designs.

Cut-Away Soft

This medium weight cut-away stabilizer comes in black and white. It is permanent and will not wash out or tear out. Use this stabilizer on home decor projects, medium to heavy knits and woven fabrics. Recommended for all stitch count designs.

No-Show Mesh

Mesh is a medium cut-away stabilizer that is permanent. It will not wash out or tear out. This mesh stabilizer comes in white, black and beige. Use it on unstable material, light to medium stretch or woven fabrics. It can be used to cover the back of an embroidery design to eliminate scratching the skin. Recommended for all stitch count designs.

No-Show Mesh Fusible

Like the regular no-show mesh, this medium-weight stabilizer is permanent. It will not wash out or tear out. Use it on unstable material, light to medium stretch or woven fabrics. Recommended for hard to hoop items with a low stitch count and low density design.

Aqua Set Water-Activated

This is a medium adhesive backed tear-away which provides temporary stability to the stitches during the embroidery process. Use this on cottons or other non-stretch fabrics, leather, slick fabrics, and irregular shaped items. Recommended for high stitch count designs.

Rinse-Away, Tear-Away

This washable tear-away stabilizer provides temporary stability to the stitches during the embroidery process. Use it on light to medium weight woven fabrics and terry cloth. Recommended for medium stitch counts.

Stick-Tear, Tear-Away

This temporary stabilizer is self-adhesive and provides stability to the stitches during the embroidery process. Use it on cottons or other woven fabrics, fleece, suede, velour and hoopless embroidery projects. Recommended for medium to high stitch count designs.

Tear-Away Soft

This is a heavy tear-away temporary stabilizer and provides stability to the stitches during the embroidery process. Use it on light weight knits, fleece, denim, couduroy, woven cotton, caps, robes and towels. Recommended for all stitch count designs.

Tear-Away Firm

This medium tear-away is temporary to provide stability to the stitches during the embroidery process. Use it on denim, couduroy, woven cotton, craft projects, stitching on paper as well as on coated or water-proof fabrics. Recommended for all stitch count designs.

Aqua Melt Topping

This is a dissolve-away temporary stabilizer used on top of fabric which has a pile or plush surface. It keeps the stitches from being buried in the fabric. Aqua melt topping should be used on fabric that will not stain when wet. Use it on terry cloth, fleece, knits and high pile fabrics. Recommended for low stich count, low density designs.

Dissolve-Away Mesh

Dissolve-away stabilizers are temporary and dissolve in water. They are used for projects that need stability, but require no stabilizer remaining in the project. Use this type of stabilizer for lace, applique, emblems, towels, blankets, ribbon, quilting and other craft projects. Recommended for low stitch, low density designs.

Dissolve-Away Mesh Self-Adhesive

This is a self-adhesive dissolve-away. Like the regular dissolve-away, it is temporary and is used for projects that need stability, but require no stabilizer remaining in the project. Use this for lace, appliques, emblems, towels, blankets, ribbon, quilting and other craft projects. Recommended for low stitch, low density designs.
